Water On The Rock (WOTR) Ltd was incorporated in July 1997 as a Motion Picture Production company.

The company directors are Kenneth D.Barker and James Ritchie.

"Since my childhood I have always loved to entertain and be entertained. Back then I can not confess to being a twenty-four hour a day film buff, but I always loved watching those great big sprawling epics like ‘Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines’ and ‘The Great Race’, along with all the other traditional fare such as the BBC's annual Christmas favourite ‘The Wizard of Oz’. It was exactly these type of films that later inspired me to take the plunge and produce my own.

The first film I both wrote and produced was called J'gmirith'L (pronounced Jag-mirror-thal). Boy did that give me some sleepless nights, but it got made and shown in front of an appreciative audience. J'gmirith'L essentially smoothed my path into one of Europe's top three film schools The Northern School of Film and Television (NSFTV) in Leeds. NSFTV ingested me, tore all my clothes off, shot blasted my nerve endings then reassembled me into an 'Embryonic film maker'. The course was incredibly difficult and taxing however I learnt lessons that put me in great stead for the future.

Several years on, I'm still here passionate as ever, with three features and a live action/CG short to my credit. What the future holds, who knows! But I can tell you this now; it will involve a lot of hard work, great stories and a little movie magic."
